Sonny Angel has existed since 2004 and comes from Japanese designer Toru "Sonny" Soeya, who founded Dreams Inc. in 1996. He was inspired by the classic Kewpie doll and conceived a figure that was primarily intended to provide comfort: a little friend who watches over you during a busy day. The figures bear his own nickname, and the slogan from the start says exactly what it's all about: He may bring you happiness.
The Sonny Angel chooses you
Each doll comes in a blind box. You choose a series, but only when you open the box do you know which figure has chosen you. That moment of surprise is precisely the charm: no choice stress, but a small gift waiting to be discovered. And that makes collecting, trading, and saving so much fun.
More than just a toy
