About us

For over 50 years, In den Olifant has been a wonderful shop in the heart of Antwerp, offering toys, books, decorations, and lifestyle products for children and their (grand)parents. It's a shop with a story.

And this story, besides playing, reading, and having fun, is also about wonder and connection. Wonder is inherent in every human being, but children are full of it. Where does the sun go when it's dark? Who lights the moonlight? Do fish sleep at night too? Why do elephants have such big ears?

It's also about connection : between people, between children and parents, between children and grandparents, and among children themselves. And through uninhibited play, close relationships are forged.

That's why In den Olifant is a place where imagination is never far away and wonder always plays a role !
