Kidywolf

As they grow up, children learn every day, through play and in their own way. That is exactly why Kidywolf exists. The Belgian toy brand was founded in 2019 by Gary and Nicolas, two childhood friends who, after the birth of their children, felt something was missing: real devices sized for children, sturdy enough for little hands and attractive enough to be left lying around. Even the name tells the story. 'Kidy' stands for the curiosity and urge to explore of childhood, 'wolf' for the pack that sticks together and looks out for one another. Everything is designed in Belgium and kept intentionally gender-neutral so that every child feels at home with it.

Real devices, not toy versions

A Kidycam children's camera takes real photos, a Kidytalk walkie-talkie transmits all the way to the back of the garden, and with the Kidymicroscope you can actually see what is crawling on that leaf. That is the difference compared to much other electronic toy: no buttons that do nothing, but working devices with a rechargeable battery in a housing that can withstand a fall. They are made to grow with the child and to be used together, with a brother, a friend, or a grandparent who still remembers their first camera. Kidywolf provides a warranty and has its own after-sales service, something that is far from standard with this type of toy.

From drawing tablet to metal detector

The best-known series are the Kidydraw drawing tablets: double-sided tablets and light-up drawing pads with themes ranging from dinosaurs to manga, great to take along as travel games and to supplement with extra pens and drawing sheets. With the Kidyprint instant camera, you print your photos immediately on thermal paper, and Kidyroll refills keep that printer running. Those who prefer exploration can choose the Kidyxplore with zoom, the Kidyvision night camera with infrared, binoculars, a telescope, a metal detector, or a flashlight. And then there are the Kidyelec electricity sets for budding techies, the Kidykaraoke with two microphones, and the K-Watch children's watches that make learning to tell time suddenly fun.
