By bike to In den Olifant

In den Olifant is located in the heart of Antwerp and is easily accessible by bicycle. Bicycle parking spaces can be found across the street in front of the Sint-Lodewijk Secondary Commercial School.

By car to In den Olifant

Are you coming by car? Then it is best to park in one of the nearby parking garages such as Interparking Lombardia, Parking Cammerpoorte, Interparking Oudaen, Parking Indigo Groenplaats, Parking Brabo or Q-Park Antwerpen Centrum.

Please note that In den Olifant is located in the city's low-emission zone. Since August 1, 2023, it is no longer permitted to park on the street without a resident permit. So do not park in the surrounding streets. More info about the city's parking policy can be found here >

Getting to In den Olifant by public transport

The following bus lines pass through Groenplaats: lines 22, 180, 181, 182 and 183.

From Groenplaats, it's a 2-minute walk to In den Olifant. The following trams stop in the pre-metro at Groenplaats: lines 3, 5, 9 and 15.

Are you coming by train? Upon arrival at Antwerp Central Station, go to the metro and travel a few stops underground to Groenplaats.

Getting to In den Olifant by boat

De Waterbus is also an option if you're coming to In den Olifant. From the jetty at Steenplein, it's a 10-minute walk. For more information, see De Waterbus website.

Great tip for families with children: Park your car on Linkeroever, take the boat (the Sint-Anna ferry) to Het Steen and visit In den Olifant. This small ferry for pedestrians and cyclists operates for free on that route.
