De pick-up wordt al sinds 1948 gebouwd en is inmiddels aan de 13e generatie toe. De auto is comfortabel, ruim, robuust en door het grote laadvlak vooral zeer geliefd in de landelijke regio's in de VS. Hij wordt daar, net als deze siku, meestal besteld met een trekhaak. Portieren open, met een tussenstap in de chauffeurscabine klimmen en de V8 motor starten. De “American way of life” wordt het beste ervaren op rubberen banden en designervelgen.
