Each figure is handmade in Germany from maple wood from sustainable domestic forestry. Every piece from the Ostheimer collection is unique and made with great love and care. The water-based paints are slightly transparent to highlight the wood grain; the figures are not finished with varnish to keep the beauty of the wood visible. They are oiled with vegetable oil from organic farming.
