Pig Head Down by Ostheimer is a wonderful addition to any farm animal collection and immerses us all in the world of imagination. This timeless wooden toy is inspired by Waldorf education, which favors high-quality natural materials and clear-cut toys to let creativity and imagination run wild.
The pig snuffles through the mud with its head down, just as pigs do all day. Place it with the sow and piglets, and the farm comes to life.
Each figure is handmade in Germany, using wood from sustainable domestic forestry. Every piece from the Ostheimer collection is unique and made with great love and the necessary care. The water-based colors are slightly transparent to highlight the wood grain; the play figures are not finished with varnish to keep the beauty of the wood visible. The unpainted figurines are oiled with vegetable oil from organic farming.
