This little duckling is barely 2 cm and belongs behind its mother duck. Line up a few and the most famous scene of the pond is there: a long string of ducklings following neatly. Small enough to disappear into a palm, big enough to build a whole story around.

Each figurine is handmade in Germany, using wood from sustainable domestic forestry. Every doll from the Ostheimer collection is a unique piece made with great love and care. The water-based colours are slightly transparent to emphasize the wood grain; the play figures are not finished with varnish to keep the beauty of the wood visible. The unpainted figurines are oiled with vegetable oil from organic farming.
