Each figure is handmade in Germany, using wood from sustainable domestic forestry. Every doll from the Ostheimer collection is a unique piece made with great love and care. The water-based paints are slightly transparent to emphasize the wood grain; the play figures are not finished with varnish to keep the beauty of the wood visible. The unpainted figures are oiled with vegetable oil from organic farming.
