Each figure is handmade in Germany, using wood from sustainable domestic forestry. Each piece from the Ostheimer collection is unique and made with great love and care. The water-based paints are slightly transparent to emphasize the wood grain; the play figures are not finished with varnish to keep the beauty of the wood visible. The unpainted figurines are oiled with vegetable oil from organic farming.
