About In den Olifant

In den Olifant has been Antwerp's premier toy and children's bookstore since 1970. Our welcoming store is a fixture in the city and far beyond. Since March 2021, we've been located in a beautiful, spacious, and contemporary building of over 600 m² on Lombardenstraat (near Wilde Zee / Lombardenvest / Kammenstraat).

Our customers will find a unique and wide selection of sustainable toys and children's books. With Team In den Olifant, we offer personalized, expert assistance and professional advice . Our collection is original and sustainable, and we go the extra mile with our service, both in our physical store and in our brand-new online store.

responsibilities
  • Inventory Management : You receive incoming goods, check them for quality and completeness, and ensure that all products are correctly priced, secured, and neatly stored.
  • Online Order Processing : All online purchases are processed by you so that orders can be shipped on time and without errors.
  • Refined presentation of our exclusive range : Your job is to ensure attractive, well-stocked shelves and create a shopping experience that surprises and inspires customers.
  • Sales and personal advice : During busy periods, you help out in the store by providing advice to customers, one of In den Olifant's hobbyhorses.
  • Inventory : You regularly carry out inventory in a careful and structured manner.
Must-haves
  • Responsibility and care : You have an eye for detail, work accurately and ensure that the store and stock are always in top condition.
  • Customer Service : A service-oriented attitude is second nature to you, you ensure that customers leave the store with a smile and/or that it is a pleasure to receive their online order from www.indenolifant.be .
  • Order and tidiness : You enjoy working in a clean and organized environment and always keep the store and stock in order.
Good to know
  • You are quickly available for a full-time position from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM from Monday to Friday.
  • You are available for weekend work 8 to 10 days a year.
