The Djeco Majuscules craft kit contains everything you need for this: a wooden loom that fits in a child's hand, ten types of beads, a needle, a beading mat, two spools of gold thread, and a booklet that guides you step-by-step through ten patterns.

What makes this bead set so accessible are the beads themselves. They are larger than the tiny seed beads experienced weavers use, so stringing is easier and the result is visible quicker. This is precisely why children stay motivated during a first weaving project. Meanwhile, your child unknowingly practices fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and especially patience. Once the ten examples are finished, you can simply create your own patterns: the loom will continue to serve as long as there are beads in the house.
