Grazing deer from Ostheimer is a beautiful piece of wooden toy and immerses every child in a world of imagination. Complete your collection of Ostheimer figures with other figurines. This timeless wooden toy is inspired by Waldorf education, which prefers high-quality natural materials and clear-cut toys to let creativity and imagination run wild.
This deer grazes with its head down, quietly and discreetly, as deer do at the edge of the forest. Place it next to the standing deer and a scene naturally unfolds: one eats, the other checks if the coast is clear. At 6 cm, the animal remains small enough to build an entire forest on the play mat together with the trees.
Each figure is handmade in Germany, using wood from sustainable domestic forestry. Every figurine from the Ostheimer collection is a unique piece made with a lot of love and care. The water-based paints are slightly transparent to emphasize the wood grain; the play figures are not finished with varnish to keep the beauty of the wood visible. The unpainted figures are oiled with vegetable oil from organic farming.
At Ostheimer, they make toys that stimulate children's imagination and nurture their creativity. We are, of course, fans of this at In den Olifant! The passion with which Ostheimer handcrafts open-ended toys has been a beacon of craftsmanship for over eighty years. Combine the grazing deer with the stag, the trees, and other Ostheimer play figures to create an imaginative play world for your children.
