The witch is 12.6 cm tall and wears a long cloak with a pointed hat. In fairy tales, she is rarely just scary: she lives deep in the forest, knows about herbs, and provides excitement in the story. Each figure is handcrafted in Germany, using wood from sustainable domestic forestry. Every doll from the Ostheimer collection is a unique piece made with great love and care. The water-based paints are slightly transparent to emphasize the wood grain; the play figures are not finished with varnish to keep the beauty of the wood visible. The unpainted figures are oiled with vegetable oil from organic farming.
