Each figure is handmade in Germany, using wood from sustainable domestic forestry. Each piece from the Ostheimer collection is unique and made with great love and care. The water-based colors are slightly transparent to highlight the wood grain; the play figures are not finished with varnish to keep the beauty of the wood visible. The unpainted figures are oiled with vegetable oil from organic farming.
