Red toy car - Egg Hardy

Take a look at the Egg Hardy by Playforever from behind and you’ll understand the name immediately: this red toy car is as round as an egg. Behind the wheel is Pilot Karlos, a cat with golden racing goggles and ears poking through his helmet. The design comes straight from the sketches Playforever created in 2017 for a collaboration with Hugo Boss. That’s why this retro race car looks just as good on a windowsill as it does on a playmat.

And then there are the wheels. The designers looked at the chunky yo-yos and rally wheels from the 1980s and made the rims as deep as they possibly could. An extra-wide rim gives the race car a cool, low stance. It rolls on soft rubber tires, so parquet floors and coffee tables will survive every overtaking maneuver. The sturdy ABS and glossy, UV-resistant paint make this Playforever toy car a design piece that won’t be worn out after a few months, but will be passed down to the next generation.
